Paintings A couple of paintings March 21, 2020 Rosalind Leave a comment Since my painting group cannot meet for “show and tell” during this time, I thought I would post some recent work for them (and anyone else) to criticise. This one I began at our last meeting. I’m fairly happy about the people and the distant hills but less pleased with the large pink roof. This did not start life as a pen and wash, but I was very unhappy with my initial attempt and washed off most of the paint before getting out the pen. And this one was an exercise in using an almost monochrome palette. I used an old black and white photograph as a reference.
Paintings A few recent paintings June 21, 2019 Rosalind Leave a comment I just loved the house which is actually in a neighbouring street, not in the bush at all. An attempt at a self portrait.
Paintings Paris April 18, 2016 Rosalind Leave a comment I visited Paris during January and came home with inspiration for these paintings.
Paintings Pittenweem February 20, 2016 Rosalind Leave a comment A really beautiful village on the coast of Scotland. I loved the contrast of the black sky of the storm and the sun still lighting the cottages.
